We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.

2. Website Hosting

Our landing page is hosted by the service provider Vercel Inc. When you visit this website, connection data (such as your IP address, browser type, date and time of access) is processed briefly by default and stored in server log files. This is technically necessary in order to provide the website safely and reliably (legal basis: Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR).

3. Data collection and use in the "Bibleguesser" app

App Authentication & Login (Firebase)

For registration and login in the app, we use Firebase Authentication, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. This service enables us to securely manage email logins, guest accounts (anonymous logins) and social logins (Sign in with Apple & Google).

When using Firebase Authentication, authentication tokens are stored and IP addresses are processed for security reasons to prevent misuse and ensure the security of your account. The processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b and f GDPR.

Storage of App Data (Render.com / PostgreSQL)

To enable the gaming experience, we store profile information (such as username and profile picture), current scores, submitted guesses and the match history. This data is processed in a secure PostgreSQL database provided by our hosting provider Render.com.

This storage is absolutely necessary for the performance of the contract (provision of the multiplayer game) (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR).

4. Your rights and the right to deletion

Within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipient and the purpose of the data processing and, if applicable, a right to correct, block or delete this data at any time.

How can I have my data deleted?

We have integrated a direct option in the "Bibleguesser" app with which you can exercise your right to deletion. In the App settings you will find a button at the very bottom to irrevocably delete your account. If you click this, your account in Firebase and all related database entries (profile, guesses, match history) in our PostgreSQL database will be deleted immediately and permanently.

For further questions on the subject of data protection, you can contact us at any time at the address given in the imprint.
